Barrier board

Metal Edge Inc. has introduced a new acrylic coated tan or blue/gray
barrier board for making storage boxes and pamphlet binders. The new
acrylic coating will help keep boxes and binders free from dust,
dirt and fingerprints during handling and storage. Water resistant
and easily cleaned with a moist cloth, these boxes are recommended
for collections that receive heavy use or are stored in environments
where moisture is a potential problem. As an added advantage, the
lustrous surface will greatly enhance the appearance of your
collections.

The barrier board is made from acid/lignin free 60 point material
with a pH of 8.5 and buffered with 3% calcium carbonate. Standard
and custom storage boxes and pamphlet binders are available as well
as sheets for constructing your own enclosures. The board has been
tested at the Image Permanence Institute and results are available
upon request.
