Senior Conservator
Peabody Museum of Natural History, Yale University.

The Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History seeks a Senior
Conservator. Qualified applicants should have an MA in the
conservation of museum materials or in materials science and six
years of experience in museums of regional and national standing or
an equivalent combination of experience and education. The
successful candidate must have a thorough knowledge of professional
museum collections practices, technical expertise in conservation,
research and writing skills for the preparation of extensive
proposals for the renovation of collection space and storage
facilities and object conservation. Will direct Museum's
Conservation Program and Conservation Laboratory, including training
and supervision of conservation staff, preparator, volunteers and
consultants. Will formulate, develop and implement conservation and
preservation treatments, programs and policies.
