Subject: Position at Shelburne Museum
Textile Conservator Shelburne Museum The Shelburne Museum is seeking a textile conservator to work full-time for 7 months to conduct a detailed condition survey of the Museum's collection of 200 embroidered samplers and pictures and perform remedial conservation treatments. This project is partially funded by an IMLS Conservation Project Support Grant. Candidates must have a graduate degree in conservation specializing in textile conservation or equivalent training. The project can begin any time after July 1, 2000 and must be started before October 1, 2000. Salary is $2500 per month plus benefits.
