Palm leaf manuscripts

In the South East Asian Library we have come across 21 Palm Leaf
Manuscript Books. Mostly 18th and 19th century. They vary in size
but one is  9 1/2 inches across. I intend to just house them but
could anyone who has worked on treating or housing palm leaf books
please reveal themselves so that I can get some 'first hand
experience' advice.
