The Sheridan Libraries offers an exciting opportunity in the field
of preservation with the new position of Librarian III (pay grade
41) or Collections Conservator (pay grade 40), which is responsible
for managing the care of the library's general paper-based
collections. Reporting to the Head of Preservation, the position
performs Level 2 and 3 conservation treatments/repairs, and also
supervises one book repair technician and student employees.
Position qualifications for Librarian III include MLS degree and
knowledge of current conservation principles and practices.

The Sheridan Libraries encompass the Milton S. Eisenhower Library
and its collections at the John Work Garrett Library, the George
Peabody Library, and the Albert D. Hutzler Undergraduate Reading
Room.  Its primary constituency is the students and faculty in the
schools of Arts and Sciences, Engineering, and Professional Studies
in Business and Education.  A key partner in the academic
enterprise, the library is a leader in the innovative application of
information technology.  In the last few years, the library has
renovated its service floors, moved to the Horizon library
management system, and implemented notable diversity and
organizational development programs.  The library prizes initiative,
creativity, professionalism, and teamwork.

Approximate Starting Salary: $36,255 - $40,305, depending on
experience and education. Excellent benefits including tuition
