Subject: Call for papers--Wood and furniture conservation
Call for Papers Fifth International Symposium on Wood and Furniture Conservation Amsterdam December 7-8, 2000 The Fifth International Symposium on Wood and Furniture conservation will be held on 7 and 8 December 2000 in Amsterdam. In anticipation of the Dutch 'Year of the Interior' in 2001, papers are invited dealing with the conservation, restoration and reconstruction of interiors. Furniture conservators are involved more and more in the conservation of complete interiors, from furniture to wall-panelling, floors and wooden ceilings. These are often large projects where conservators of different disciplines meet and work together with art-historians, building-experts and designers. Comparison of the situation in various countries would be interesting. Anyone wishing to present a paper on the conservation and reconstruction of wooden-based interiors, on ethical questions or on conservation research is invited to submit an abstract of approximately 250 words, before June 1, 2000 to: Dominique van Loosdrecht, Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, P.O.Box 74888, 1070 DN Amsterdam, The Netherlands. +31 20 67 47 229 Fax: +31 20 67 47 001 E-mail: d.van.loosdrecht [at] rijksmuseum__nl *** Conservation DistList Instance 13:51 Distributed: Saturday, April 15, 2000 Message Id: cdl-13-51-011 ***Received on Monday, 10 April, 2000
