Architectural Conservator Integrated Conservation Resources, Inc. Position: Mid/Senior Level Conservator As part of our present expansion, ICR is looking for an experienced Architectural Conservator to join the staff of our New York Office. This is a permanent full-time position. We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate with 2+ years of field experience. The candidate should have experience with a variety of building materials and technologies as well as with methods of investigation and analysis. ICR is interested in energetic, innovative candidates who desire to enhance the field of conservation through thoughtful contributions. The mid/senior level Conservator is responsible for (and should have experience in) project management, client contact, documentation, survey and condition assessment, research, design of laboratory and field testing programs, development of conservation guidelines and criteria and report writing. The Conservator must be able to delegate tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, supervise junior staff members, and work both independently and as a participating team member. In addition to client-based projects, ICR engages in regular in-house research projects that address fundamental, practical conservation issues. ICR encourages its employees to participate in the greater conservation community through publications, conference participation, and lecturing. Qualifications: * A Master's degree in Historic Preservation from an accredited graduate program and two or more years field experience in architectural conservation. * Strong analytical skills, flexibility and resourcefulness. * Excellent communication skills. * Ability to work both independently and as part of a group.
