Lecturer in the conservation of easel paintings (full time) Courtauld Institute of Art The position of Lecturer in the Conservation of Paintings (half time) (see Conservation DistList Instance: 13:41 Thursday, January 27, 2000) at the Courtauld Institute of Art has been withdrawn. The Institute is now able to advertise the following post: Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer (full time) in the Department of Conservation & Technology, from 1st September, 2000. The successful applicant will be responsible for a substantial contribution to the postgraduate Diploma Course in the Conservation of Easel Paintings and the conduct and supervision of research. He/she will teach the theory and practice of the conservation of easel paintings, applied conservation science and actively participate in the supervision of interventive and preventive conservation. The successful applicant will also contribute to the development of the course. Applicants should have a conservation qualification, a first degree in one of the physical sciences and some years experience in professional conservation. Salary, including London Weighting will be on Lecturer Scale, currently UKP19,372-UKP24,713 (Lecturer A) and UKP25,655-UKP32,199 (Lecturer B).
