A death

Dr. Barbara Whitney Keyser
April 14 1946 - March 13, 2000

It is with great sadness that I write to report the passing of our
colleague, Dr. Barbara Whitney Keyser who died peacefully on Monday,
March 13th at St. Mary's of the Lake Palliative Care Unit in
Kingston, Ontario. She is survived by her mother Helen, father
Ralph, sisters Nancy and Elizabeth and brother Ralph, all of the
United States.  She is missed and remembered with great affection,
deep respect and gladness by her friends, colleagues and students in
the fields of Art Conservation, the History of Science and Art
History, across Canada, the USA and Europe.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 22nd, 2 pm at
Chalmers United Church, 212 Barrie Street in Kingston, Ontario.  In
lieu of flowers, friends may wish to make donations in Barbara's
name to the Sierra Club fund or any other environmental cause of
their choice.
