Subject: Volunteers sought for conservation assessments
A series of conservation assessments are in the planning stages for 7 to 10 of the historic Missions of California, to take place between May and September of 2000. The assessments will address the physical status of the buildings, and their significant contents, and the risks that threaten their safety and integrity. We seek qualified individuals to complete a small group of conservators, conservation architects, and collections managers from which the assessment teams will be drawn. Time commitments will be limited, and carefully scheduled, starting with an orientation meeting. Expenses and per diem costs will be offered. If you are interested in working on this project, have the expertise noted above, have experience in assessments, and are resident in California, please send a note regarding your interest, along with a current CV to: Margaret MacLean (project manager) 140 Hollister Avenue Santa Monica, CA 90405 *** Conservation DistList Instance 13:46 Distributed: Tuesday, March 7, 2000 Message Id: cdl-13-46-040 ***Received on Saturday, 26 February, 2000
