Recalcifying purified water

From: Lyndsay Knowles <lyndsay.knowles>

We are designing a new water purification system and intend
including a re-ionization step to raise the pH to at least 8. I
would be interested to hear how other paper labs have done this
including the following:

    * what has been used as a calcium source?

    * how much has been required and in what form e.g. a 30 cu.
in. column of marble chips of a given size?

    * how the system is monitored and maintained?

    * overall how successful was the system?
