Subject: Call for papers--ASHRAE
The American Society for Heating Refrigeration and Air conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Technical Committee (TC) 2.3 is interested in running the following Seminar: "What HVAC Engineers Should Know About Libraries and Archives." This would be a selection of library and archives professionals who have been involved in HVAC projects. They would be expected to present their view on what HVAC engineers should know about library and archives projects. ASHRAE does not provide any honorarium or fees, or cover travel costs for presenters; they only cover the registration fees for attending the meeting. We are seeking three or four presenters from the library/archives field who could make a 15- to 20-minute presentation on the topic. The next meetings are: Atlanta (Jan 27-31,2001); Cincinnati (Jun 23-27, 2001); Atlantic City (Jan 12-16, 2002); and Honolulu (Jun 22-26, 2002). We need all the presenters to be able to come to the same meeting to present at a single Seminar. Presenters need to prepare a 100-word (max) abstract, fill out biographical forms, and attend the meeting to make the presentation. This is a companion to the "What HVAC Engineers Should Know About Museums" seminar submitted for the ASHRAE meeting in Minneapolis (Jun 25-28). Please contact me if you are able to attend any of these meetings (Atlanta, Cincinnati, Atlantic City or Honolulu) and make the presentation. William P. Lull, President Garrison/Lull Inc.
