We are checking and updating our conservation methods in our
archive and I would like to know what kinds of methods other
paperconservators (especially in archives) use around the world. I
am seeking information about different kinds of
deacidification/buffering methods, also disinfection of mould
damaged paper. Also what kind of paste conservators use in
mending paper and what kind of paper? What kind of fixing
methods are in use when treating paper with water sensitive
colours. I would also ask if anyone have experience in
carboxymethylcellulose turning yellowish in a period of time. I
would be grateful to receive also your opinions and good/bad
experiences in your methods.
