Plants in museums

Do other institutions have a written policy that regulates the use
of live flower and plant components within the building? Are
volunteers allowed to bring in flowers (cut from their gardens) and
arrangements to "decorate"? Are staff allowed to bring in live
houseplants (in soil) to their offices? Are caterers allowed to
wheel in live shrubs and trees (in soil) to decorate for special
events in the building? etc. etc. Who enforces the policy? Any and
all input would be greatly appreciated.
