Upper Midwest Conservation Association

The Upper Midwest Conservation Association, a regional non-profit
art and artifact conservation center located at the Minneapolis
Institute of Arts, and serving the diverse collections of many
museums and cultural organizations, is seeking an Objects
Conservator.  Working with the Senior Objects Conservator, the
incumbent will be involved with a wide variety of conservation
projects in a busy teamwork environment.  Responsibilities include
performing examination, treatment, report preparation, consultation,
and survey duties both within the center and off-site. Candidates
should be able to work on diversified collections of fine arts,
decorative arts and historic artifacts in many media.  Applicants
must possess a master of arts in conservation from a recognized
conservation training program and have at least two to five years
experience as a practicing objects conservator or equivalent
training and experience.  Salary range is $32,000 to $47,000,
commensurate with experience, and includes excellent benefits (22
days vacation; 100% employer paid premiums for medical, dental, life
insurance coverage for employee and family; employer contribution to
retirement plan after one year's employment; professional
development allowance of $2,000/year, etc.).  Send resume, three
