Subject: Tyvek
As part of an integrated pest management program, it has been suggested that Tyvek soft wrap be used instead of tissue between textiles in flat storage. While Tyvek will not offer the relative humidity buffering that tissue provides, it has the advantage of not being a food source for museum pests. Has anyone on the DistList had any experience, positive or negative, with using Tyvek soft wrap in contact with textiles in long-term storage situations?
