Conservation Technician
Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of
Scotland(RCAHMS)
Casual fixed term contract for six months from 5th January 2000.
Part time: 22.5 hours a week
Grade G UKP12,000 per annum pro rata

The purpose of the post is to assist with the conservation of the
collections that are part of the Scottish Architects' Papers
Preservation Project (SAPPP) and Dick, Peddie and McKay (DPM) as
outlined the Heritage Lottery Fund applications.

The objective of the post is to participate in the programme of
conservation for the collections represented in the SAPPP and DPM
projects in order to make them accessible to the public, thereby
fulfilling the requirements of the grants awarded from the Heritage
Lottery Fund for these projects.

Summary of Main Activities:

    1.  Carrying out routine conservation work on the SAPPP and DPM
        Collections held in RCAHMS.
    2.  Carrying out routine conservation work on the SAPPP and DPM
        Collections held in local repositories.
    3.  Other duties as delegated by the Depute Curator.
