Subject: Deterioration of Agfachrome slides
In reference to J. Claire Dean's query about 'Deterioration of Agfachrome slides' in Conservation DistList Instance: 13:29 Friday, November 12, 1999: As you do not have funding for photographic duplication, scanning the slides might be an alternative. An interesting web site on scanning is <URL:http://www.scantips.com/> This site has sections on: 'Colour Correction of Faded Slides' with illustrations of deteriorated Ektachrome slides; and 'Transparent Media Adaptor--will it work for 35mm slides'. Of course, you would then have the problem of preserving the electronic image.
