There is no charge for this meeting which includes a buffet lunch.
The day will include an introduction to and tour of the new
conservation department and the storage repositories at the PRO.

Getting to the PRO: Travelling by Train and Underground: The nearest
station to the Kew office is Kew Gardens (Underground - District
line and Railway - Silverlink Metro (North London line)). Kew
Gardens is in both zone 3 and 4, and a one-day travelcard (for use
after 9.30am weekdays) covering zones 1 to 4, costs UKP4.00. The
journey from central London to Kew takes about 40 minutes. It is a
5-10 minute walk from Kew Gardens tube to the Public Record Office;
signs direct you from the station. Other convenient national railway
stations to the PRO at Kew are Richmond (Travel one stop from there
to Kew Gardens) and Kew Bridge (a 15-20 minute walk to the PRO).

Travelling by Bus: The 65 and 191 bus routes run along Kew Road.

Travelling by Car: The PRO at Kew is about half a mile south of Kew
Bridge, on the South Circular Road, A 205. Junction 2 of the M4
motorway is about one and a half miles away. There are approximately
200 parking spaces at Kew.
