ACRL New England Preservation/Conservation Interest Group Fall Meeting The Redline Tour: Shopping Boston for Conservation Supplies Friday, October 22, 1999 Have you ever dreamed of venturing into Boston to pick up that special brush or handmade paper but were afraid you'd be lost in the city? The Fall meeting of the ACRL New England Preservation/Conservation Interest Group is just for you. Under the guidance of experienced travelers we will journey on the MTA Redline stopping and shopping along the way. Space is limited so reserve now. Places we'll go: Pearl (great for brushes and obscure small tools), Rugg Road (specialty papers), Harcourt Bindery (book cloth and papers), Burmen Leather (leather tools), and Paper Source (specialty papers). And if this weren't enough Sam Ellenport at Harcourt Bindery will speak to the group about his Japanese bookbinding cloths, newly imported papers, and the Griffin Mills Hand-made Papers that he will carry. Amy Madanick of Rugg Road Papers will guide you through their wide range of decorative and bookbinding papers from around the world. What you'll need: Approximately $6.00 to purchase MTA tokens. Comfortable walking shoes. The entire tour will last about 3 hours not including lunch. Tour guides will take you to each store listed and back to Kendall Square (but by then you'll be an old hand!).
