Although I have not had the opportunity to install window film where
I am located, questions could be directed to New England Sun Control
(800) 274-TINT. While they are a vendor and supplier in RI and
eastern Mass., they do provide a list, upon request, of institutions
that have had the film installed by them These institutions include
a number of museums and libraries in the area including some at
Harvard. One of the claims is that these films not only cut UV and
light levels, depending on the opacity of the film, but that they do
also save in energy costs. That would address the condensation
issue.
