Window films

I am looking for people with recent experiences using adhesive
light-filtering films applied to windows. Has anyone had problems
taking it off, particularly off historic glass?  What experiences
have you had in applying it?   Have you had problems with
condensation causing peeling of the films, or other problems of
detachment from aging?  One institutional client of ours has noted
that the presence of the film on a window pane actually reduces
condensation--has anyone else seen this?
