Board shear

We are seeking advice regarding our Vagelli board shear.  After
recently sharpening one of the blades we were unsuccessful in
attempting to realign it correctly and ended up shaving off a bit of
the blade.  It's been sent off to be sharpened again, and we would
like to know if anyone else has experienced this problem or if
anyone can give us any pointers.
