Subject: Survey on collections management software
Our office has been tasked as part of a Department of Defense (DoD) Legacy Resource Management Program project to gather information on existing archaeological collections management software and to assess the current usage, capacity, and needs of potential users. As part of this project we have prepared a questionnaire regarding collections management software. In order to provide the widest possible dissemination, we are making this questionnaire available through this and other internet discussion lists (please excuse any cross-posting). We would very much appreciate your participation in this project. Please feel free to disseminate this questionnaire to any of your colleagues as you feel appropriate. The questionnaire can be obtained by simply replying to this posting if the sender is the default address setting for your list, or by e-mailing a request to James.Barnes [at] mvs02__usace__army__mil, or by accessing the St. Louis District ftp site <URL:ftp://mvs-ftp.mvs.usace.army.mil>. The questionnaire is available in an ASCII text version (questionnaire.txt), a rich text format version (questionnaire.rtf), and a Microsoft Word 97 version (questionnaire.doc). **** Moderator's comments: As of the time of this mailing, the ftp site was unreachable, so you may have to use email to get the questionnaire.
