Tenure: 3 year contract with a possibility of an extension.

The Art Gallery of Western Australia has occupied a central place in
the cultural life of the State for more than a century.  Its aim is
to develop and present the best public art collection in the State
and the pre-eminent collection of Western Australian art.

Duties: The Object Conservator will contribute to the effective
conservation of the Art Gallery's collections and works of art in
its care, and to the development of self-managed teams.

Qualifications and Experience: A degree in the conservation of
cultural materials from a recognised tertiary institution with a
specialty in object conservation, plus a minimum of 2 years relevant
experience working in the profession is highly desirable or a
minimum of 5 years practical experience in the conservation of
cultural materials is essential.

Location: Perth Cultural Centre.
