Getty Grant Program Funded Internship Gerald R. Ford Conservation Center Nebraska State Historical Society The Gerald R. Ford Conservation Center is offering the first of two postgraduate conservation internships supported by the Getty Grant Program. This first internship will begin in the fall of 1999 and continue until the fall of 2000. The internship is full time and the stipend amount is $25,000. Health benefits, an educational travel allowance are provided. The internship will focus on treatment and independent research. Candidates must have recently completed a graduate level course of study in conservation or have done so by the start of the internship period. Candidates may also have completed the equivalent level and amount of training through internship. Candidates should have completed a least one-year of graduate level internship in objects conservation prior to application. Interested candidates should send: 1. A personal statement of application stating why the internship is pertinent to their professional development. 2. A current resume. 3. Three letters of recommendation from conservators, curators, or university instructors. Materials should be postmarked no later than September 5, 1999 and sent to: Julie A.
