ICOM-CC Preprints

The 12th ICOM-CC Triennial Meeting will be held in Lyon (August
29-September 3, 1999).  As a trial, the Preprint Papers of the
Textiles and Preventive Conservation Working Groups are now
available on the web. This will give Working Group members (and
others) the opportunity to read the papers in advance and allow
speakers more time to discuss their papers and to raise issues on
which they would like feedback during the meeting.

The papers have been  have been posted in PDF format on the James
and James (the Preprint publishers) web site at
<URL:http://www.jxj.com/icom/papers/>

These files can be accessed using Adobe Acrobat Reader (a free
download of which is available).   There is free access to the site.
The papers are in copy-edited format with tagging (eg <title>) used
when setting each paper.  There are no illustrations or graphics.
The papers will be removed from the web site at the end of the Lyon
meeting.

The ICOM-CC Directory Board realises that this will only benefit
Working Group members who have access to the Internet and it will be
helpful to know what proportion of each Working Group are able to
read the papers in advance.  Please let us have your feedback
before, during and after the Lyon Meeting.
