Subject: Offgassing from plywood shelving
Sean Harrison comments rightly about the opportunity of placing plants inside the library environment. Actually the idea could be to place as many vases as possible, besides keeping windows open during the day, in the rooms for the two months allowed us before the cleaned books are placed on the shelves. We are considering "laced" activated charcoal in non-woven tissue bags to be placed on the shelves, behind the books, as a second phase approach to the problem.
