Mummified head

From: Roberta Salmaso <rsalmaso>
Date: Tuesday, June 8, 1999
In our Museum we preserve a reduced and mummified human head from
indios "Ghivaro" (Amazonas, Brasil). Due to a trouble with our
waterworks the head has been partially immersed in water for a few
days. Now it is still wet and soft, shows a tide line, some mould
has developed and it smells bad (...oh! ...ok, I'll throw it away!).

I hope that someone on the list could give me an advice on how to
stop mould and clean the head. Thank you,

Roberta Salmaso
