Effective July 1, 1999, Geoffrey Brown will assume the position of
Director of the Navajo Nation Museum in Window Rock, AZ.  Formerly
the Curator of Conservation at the Kelsey Museum, University of
Michigan, Geoffrey is looking forward to helping the Navajo Nation
Museum become one of the preeminent educational and cultural
preservation institutions in the Southwest.  The mission of the
Navajo Nation Museum is to preserve and present Navajo culture and
arts from the Navajo point of view for both the Navajo people and
others. The museum has a spacious new building, a significant
long-standing collection, and is in the process of assembling a
professional staff.
