Organically modified ceramics

Has anyone used the ORMOCERs (ORganically MOdified CERamics)
polymers as coating? Any comments on safety for environment,
maintenance and conservation teams? Long time effect on indoor and
outdoor conditions? Handling procedure? Can we imagine to use this
type of polymers to increase the lifetime of the coating or the side
effects are not in favour of this path?
