Storing parasols

Each individual parasol should be considered carefully to decide if
vertical or horizontal storage is appropriate.  Vertical storage
causes less creasing of the cover and lining textiles but may not be
suitable for parasols in poor condition (keep an eye out for
weighted silk, for instance). I know of two articles discussing the
subject:
