Conservation Technical Associates, LLC (CTA)

CTA is a private firm specializing in the conservation of outdoor
metal and stone sculpture and monuments.


Assistant Sculpture Conservator

Duties: Assist in the examination, assessment and complete
conservation treatment including reports and other related work of
public and private sculpture, and outdoor sculpture and monuments.
Assist with the management of conservation projects, field crew,
subcontractors and associated responsibilities.

Qualifications: CTA is searching for a sculpture conservator with
experience working with outdoor sculpture.  Professional Associate
or PA-track status with AIC is preferable.  Individual must
demonstrate the ability to remove corrosion products, patinate and
apply protective coatings to metal sculpture.  The applicant must
also show familiarity with the selection of appropriate cleaning
methods for various problems faced by different stone types, the
repair of broken stone, historic mortars and the pointing process.

The applicant must also have good written and verbal communication
skills, computer skills, and the ability to cooperatively work with
other personnel.

Associate Sculpture Conservator
