Liquid crystal displays

Does anyone know the level of emission of UV from, and the effect on
illumination levels of liquid crystal displays? (also known as
plasma screens).  An exhibition designer I am working with wants to
use a very large screen (at least 1 metre diameter) in close
proximity to rare bird specimens.
