Research/Practice MAC at Queen's University Conservators with a minimum of fives years' experience are invited to apply for admission to the Master of Art Conservation (Research) degree program. In response to the need for mid-career professional development, this degree path is suitable for busy professionals with limited time for further studies. Students are expected to complete course work in theory of conservation of paintings, paper, or objects and conservation science during an initial eight-month (September-April) campus residency period. The thesis may be completed after students return to their place of employment. Specific requirements for admission include a four-year undergraduate degree and a chemistry component. Applicants should specify their research interest. Application deadline for 2000-01 is 31 January 2000.
