Integrated Pest Management May 20-21, 1999 Minneapolis Institute of Arts Minneapolis MN Presented by the Upper Midwest Conservation Association Integrated pest management is a strategic approach to pest control in collecting institutions such as museums, historical societies, libraries, and archives. The approach relies primarily on non-chemical means to prevent and manage insect infestation. This advanced workshop will be conducted by two well-known IPM specialists, Tom Strang of the Canadian Conservation Institute and Wendy Jessup, IPM consultant and conservator in private practice. This workshop will benefit anyone who is responsible for the care of collections: registrars, directors, curators, librarians, archivists, conservators, and facilities managers. Workshop registration: $120 for members of UMCA, $145 for non-members. Fee includes demonstrations, a notebook of informational materials, lunches, and a reception. The deadline is May 13.
