Subject: Accreditation
In the UK, the Joint Accreditation Group (JAG) of The Conservation Forum is drawing up a common accreditation framework, the purpose of which is to apply and recognise a common standard across the conservation profession, regardless of the route taken to reach a professional level of capability, the specialism of the conservator, or the context he or she practises in. A set of documents, in draft form, have been prepared and made available at the Web address given below for the Professional Accreditation Trials, taking place between March and May 1999. The documents will be finalised at the end of June 1999, and will be implemented in January 2000. <URL:http://www.ukic.org.uk/jag/> [Mirrored at <URL:http://palimpsest.stanford.edu/ukic/jag/>] For further information about these trials and the Joint Accreditation Group, please contact: Joint Accreditation Group c/o Institute of Paper Conservation Leigh Lodge Leigh Worcester WR6 5LB United Kingdom +44 1886 832323 Fax: +44 1886 833688 clare [at] ipc__org__uk Adrian Tribe Web Editor, CCS Birkbeck College Malet Street London WC1E 7HX +44 171 631 6291 Mobile: +44 403 288192 Fax: +44 171 631 6556 *** Conservation DistList Instance 12:81 Distributed: Tuesday, April 20, 1999 Message Id: cdl-12-81-006 ***Received on Tuesday, 13 April, 1999
