Gel medium

Conservation Student. I am currently proposing the reseach on gel
medium and other oil paint thickeners. I would like to know if any
research has been completed in this area, or if any conservators
have knowledge of the properties of such products. Feedback
warranting go-a-head with this research would also be grateful.
