Thai paintings

I'm a 4th year student in the conservation training programme of the
Ecole d'Art d'Avignon, France. As a final diploma thesis, I'm
preparing to report about the materials used in traditional Thai
painting (murals and on canvas) and about the typical deterioration
pattern of those paintings and its causes. I am trying to find about
local materials and methods used or useful for their conservation.

Documentation and literature on the subject (the materials used in
Thai paintings and their conservation-restoration) is scarce.
Therefore I want to ask if there are or if you know about any such
sources and how and where I can get hold of them. Would you please
be so kind as to let me know. I also am trying to get in contact
with conservators, conservation scientists and other specialists who
have already worked in Thailand or are there now. Is there a center
of conservation-restoration in Bangkok and a scientist center for
research on cultural objects? Do you have any information as to what
particular, if possible indigenous, materials one can find there
usable for conservation (glues, solvents...). I thank you for your
consideration.
