Senior Conservation Technician/Exhibits Preparator

This is a temporary two year position with the possibility of an
extension working in the Special Collections Conservation Unit,
Preservation Office, Princeton University Library.  Salary grade F.

Individual must have extensive knowledge of and experience in
exhibit preparation and installation involving bound, archival,
graphic arts and three-dimensional objects; excellent knowledge of
current and accepted exhibit and conservation practices; experience
executing a range of minor-to-moderate paper conservation
treatments; extensive experience using a wide range of equipment,
tools and materials used to exhibit, preserve and conserve library
materials; excellent hand to eye coordination and manual dexterity;
and a high degree of sensitivity, good judgment and common sense
when handling fragile materials. Individual must also have a high
degree of organizational, managerial and communication skills; an
exceptional display of creativity, dependability and
resourcefulness; ability to plan, organize and complete work in a
timely manner; ability to work under pressure at times and to meet
tight schedules; exceptional ability to build good working
relationships with others; and exceptional ability to work
independently as well as to follow instructions.  Individual must
also have the ability to write concise reports and keep detailed
records and statistics as well as have good computer skills.

This is a bargaining unit position.  It is currently open and will
remain so until filled.  Starting salary is $24,184.  For more
