Archaeological Field Course in Bronze Conservation A short course in bronze conservation will be held at Kaman-Kalehoyuk in central Turkey from June 27 - July 4, 1999. The course will provide participants with hands-on conservation experience as well as basic lectures and readings on bronze conservation. The course will be taught by Glenn Wharton, Conservation Director of the Japanese Institute for Anatolian Archaeology. Participation will be limited to eight conservation students with plans to work in Turkey this summer. The course will be free of charge, and participants will be provided with room and board during their stay. To apply for the course please send a resume plus email addresses of two references and site affiliation in Turkey by April 1. Participants will be selected by April 15.
