Conservation in the 21st Century: Technological Applications 6 PM, Thursday Feb. 25, 1999 The February meeting of the Chicago Area Conservation Group will take place at the facilities of Midwest Freeze Dry, 7326 N. Central Park Ave. Skokie, Illinois. Midwest Freeze Dry remains the only facility in this area with large capacity, state of the art vacuum freeze-dry capabilities. Witness the expanded capabilities of decontamination now possible with the only radio frequency generator in conjunction with a vacuum chamber available in private industry. Join us for a demonstration of the creation of PLASMA (the fourth state of matter) under vacuum. Your queries are welcome involving infestation control, mold and mildew eradication, moisture removal or reduction and decontamination of furniture, library materials and objects of all kinds. A review of packing methods for disaster damaged materials will be conducted. For more information about the meeting or CACG, please contact Craig Deller at 630-232-2708.
