Photographic negatives damaged by oil

From: Rachel Wetzel <rwetzel35>

An accident occurred where a bottle of olive oil was spilled and the
oil came in contact with some negatives. This person uses roll film
format 120. Both color and black and white negatives were damaged.
Is it possible to remove the oil without losing the image? Any
suggestions would be appreciated.
