Painting Conservation Technician
Classification: SSOF (two-year appointment with possibility of
extension)

Duties: Assist the painting conservator with the preservation of the
museum's collection including examination, documentation, and minor
treatment of paintings. Some clerical and administrative work will
also be required.

Qualifications: Two years formal training in museum conservation and
one year supervisory experience. Experience in handling works of art
and demonstrated manual dexterity. Attention to detail,
organizational ability, and good communication skills are essential.
Bachelor of Arts with coursework in studio art, art history, and
chemistry is desirable.
