Horn

A colleague not on the list has asked for help on a problem with a
miniature framed drawing undergoing conservation treatment.

The miniature has a border extensively layered using horn of
irregular and uneven thicknesses and size.

Apparently the fragments were originally set into place using a
variety of adhesives of dubious quality, prior to treatment some of
the adhesive infills were lost and the problem now is how to attach
the uneven pieces of horn whilst filling the voids.
