with English Heritage, joint author of the seminal book series
Practical Building Conservation.

Course Tutor: Graham Abrey, building surveyor with eight years
experience in the masonry cleaning trade and postgraduate
qualification in building conservation science.

The course will cover the following subjects: Types of soiling,
decay and weathering patterns; the history and development of
cleaning; cleaning systems and techniques; developing specifications
and bills of quantities; a comparison of cleaning costs; tendering
and managing cleaning contracts; and the future of cleaning.
