Subject: IMLS preservation grant
Applications are now being circulated among Department of Interior agencies to submit projects for grants to preserve nationally significant intellectual and cultural artifacts and historic structures and sites from $30 Million that has been appropriated for Save Americas Treasures. The Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS) is seeking projects for consideration to submit on behalf of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and IMLS. Awards will range from $50,000 to $3,000,000. This is the first major new program in support of cultural institutions in a decade and is a wonderful opportunity to help preserve collections and structures. The application is available on the IMLS web site at <URL:http://www.imls.fed.us/> under whats new. Applications are due to IMLS by February 1.
