RLG DigiNews

The Research Libraries Group (RLG) would like to announce the
release of the third issue of RLG DigiNews, the web-based, quarterly
newsletter available at: <URL:http://www.rlg.org/preserv/diginews/>

The third issue contains a feature article by Franziska Frey of the
Image Permanence Institute, "Digital Imaging for Photographic
Collections: Foundations for Technical Standards." Complementing the
feature article, this issue's technical review introduces the
concept of Color Management Systems (CMS) and the work of the
International Color Consortium (ICC).  In addition, the issue
contains a current calendar of events, project announcements,
relevant web sites and a FAQ about the array of free digital
preservation newsletters and journals.

Readers can continue to search issues of RLG DigiNews by keyword or
browse the hyperlinked tables of content of available issues.
