Preservation Education and Outreach Discussion Group

Topic: Designing and Implementing Outreach Programs
Discussion will focus on preservation initiatives with local and
regional library organizations to plan and develop outreach programs
such as workshops and consultancies.

How is the focus group identified; what is the motivation; what
groups does one include (libraries, historical agencies, non-library
groups) and which does one exclude; who initiated the program;
seeking grant funds or not; identifying where the greatest need is;
promoting and selling the program?

Participants should be prepared to discuss programs which they have
developed and / or participated in as well as share experiences both
positive and negative.
