Subject: Clean-up
Regarding Sandra Markham's query: Handwashing in areas with no facilities Depending on the substances to be washed off the hands and the number of operators needing to use the facility, it may be simpler (and better for the papers in question) to institute the practice of operators taking a polythene bag with them containing a clean, wet washcloth. This is simple, cheap, environmentally friendly and easily controlled. We have found it a useful practice when working in areas contaminated with dust and dirt. With larger number of operators it requires discipline, identified bins for clean and used washcloths and a good laundry system.
